Matthew J. Venetos

Venetos, Matthew J., age 54, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday August 13, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew A. Venetos, on August 8, 2013. He is survived by his loving mother, Shirley (nee Lave); sister, Karen (Dan) Yahle, Brenda (Kent) Dimbath; brothers, Mark (Diane), Blake, Brad (Laura); and 13 nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved. Matt attended The Ohio State University. He assisted in the development of Country Club of the North and Wetherington Golf Courses. He was a greenskeeper at various Dayton area golf courses. Matt was an avid reader, a master chess player and a Civil War buff. He was a kind and loving person. A friend of Bill’s. The family will receive friends Wednesday August 20, 2014 from 11:30am-12pm at St Leonard’s Chapel, 8100 Clyo Road in Centerville. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00pm at St Leonard’s, followed by burial in David’s Cemetery.
