Matthew Venetos

VENETOS, MATTHEW A., age 84 of Centerville passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents: Frieda and Nicholas Venetos. Matthew is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley (nee Lave); children: Karen (Dan) Yahle, Mark (Diane) Venetos, Blake Venetos, Matt Venetos, Brad (Laura) Venetos and Brenda (Kent) Dimbath; grandchildren: Megan, Benjamin, Alexandra, Nick, Max, Zach, Nichole, Elizabeth, Alyssa, Catherine, Olivia, Lindsey and Morgan and sisters: Jane Hartfelder and Pat (Robert) Swift. Matt graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University. He worked for the Department of Defense for 37 years. In the course of his career, he received several awards and acknowledgements for his work and contributions to projects for the U.S. Army and NASA. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 14th from 12:30-1:30pm at St. Leonard's Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30pm at St. Leonard's Chapel, 8100 Clyo Road, Centerville. Burial will follow at David's Cemetery
