Maxine F. Giallombardo

GIALLOMBARDO, Maxine F. Age 91 of Kettering, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 5, 2018 surrounded by her devoted family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Steve. Family was the center of their lives and they leave behind a legacy of nine children: Andy Fitzgerald and Patrick, Terry Dabbelt and Mike, Stephen Giallombardo, Dan Giallombardo and Nancy, Jim Giallombardo and Leslie, Gina Palmisano and Dave, Paula Eifert and Chris, Nick Giallombardo and Whitney, Lori Sharpe and Jim, and devoted daughter-in-law, Diane Metz. They have 26 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She leaves behind 1 beloved sister, Lucy Bullock and many nieces and nephews. She was greeted in heaven by grandsons, Joey Sharpe, Arnie Fitzgerald; great granddaughter Faith Giallombardo, parents Mae and Ambert Hilleary, brothers, Jim, Bob, and Bud and sisters Dorothy and Mary Ruth. She was an amazing cook and was instrumental in starting Geez Grill and Pub with Steve and son Nick. She held several part-time jobs, volunteering in her community and raising her big Italian family. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, quilting, reading, crafting and most of all cooking.
She will be remembered for her generous spirit and deep love of her family.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 9th from 12 noon until 2pm. The service will follow at Lifepointe Church, 4555 Marshall Rd. Kettering, Ohio. Private family burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Westbrock Funeral Home.
