SEIBEL, Melvin C. Age 89 of Dayton passed away Wednesday January 21, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Melvin was born January 04, 1926 to Arthur and Helen Seibel in Manitowoc, WI. He attended Marquette University, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. He graduated from Lawrence University with a Bachelors Degree in Economics. Melvin was also in the first graduating class of Sinclair Community College, a 1963 Sloan Fellow at the School of Management at MIT, and a Charter Member of St. Helen Church. Melvin was proud to serve his country in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. He settled down in Dayton, Ohio, where he was employed at W.P.A.F.B. and retired as the Deputy Chief of Cost Analysis for the Air Force Logistics Command. During his life, Melvin also enjoyed working as a real estate broker for Seibel Reality. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and brother-in-laws, LaVerne (George) Frisch, Janice (Clayton) DeNoyer, Betty Sicknger, and a brother, Robert Seibel. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Phyllis Brinkman Seibel; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael (Barbara) Seibel; daughters and son-in law, Patricia (Pete) Kisielewski and Angela Bentley; a sister-in-law, Carol Isgrig; a brother-in-law, Henry Sickinger; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Katie, Jessica, Adrienne, and Amanda; five great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Kaleb, Natalie, Madison, and Avery; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Melvin: Husband, Father, Papaw, and Friend...you will be forever love, missed, and cherished by all of those whose lives you've touched! Mass of Chritian Burial, 10:00 am Tuesday January 27 at St. Helen Church. The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, St. Helen's Church or Hospice of Dayton.
