CARR, Michael E., age 57 of Centerville passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017. He was born in Dayton on November 21, 1959 to Edward Raymond Carr and the late, Kathryn G. (Shoemaker). Also preceding him in death is his father-in-law, Norman Davis. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary (Davis) Carr; children, Lauren Carr (fiancé, Thomas Patterson), Brianna Carr (fiancé Mark Routt), Aaron Carr; foster sons, Dustin Patterson and Austin Laughlin; mother-in-law, Barbara Wenzler and many other extended family and friends. Mike retired as a Sargent from the Miami Township PD in 1997, volunteered as a volleyball coach, worked at Wenzler Daycare, and in the lunchroom at St. Charles School. He was also a member of the FOP #117. He enjoyed Mustangs, and was an avid Cubs and University of Miami Fan. Friends and family may visit from 5-7 pm on Thursday, October 5 at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave., Dayton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am on Friday, October 6 at Church of the Holy Angels. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The National Kidney Foundation, American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association. The family would like to thank DaVita Dialysis Center and Mike’s technician, Derek, for the wonderful care always given to him.
