Michael L. Orrender Sr.

MICHAEL L. “MIKE” ORRENDER SR., age 73, of Trotwood, passed away on March 18, 2025. He was born in Dayton on October 15, 1951.

Mike spent his career as a hard worker in the manufacturing industry. In his younger years during his free time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle on the open road. In recent years, he looked forward to being able to ride a motorcycle again. Mike was always proud to still be able to take care of his lawn and flowers. He was always a go-getter and was determined to get things done and do them his way, no matter what anybody else said. Above all, family meant everything to him, cherishing every moment he spent with them. Nothing represented his love for family more than having everyone over for holidays and many other gatherings throughout the year.

Mike leaves behind his wife, Mildred Orrender; children, Michael Orrender Jr., Michelle (Lisa) Orrender-Leal and Jesse Orrender; grandchildren, Katelynn, Kailey, Shane, Ashlynn, Alexus, Danielle, Elijah, Aiden, Alyssa, Jessa and Brayden; great-granddaughter, Nailah, and one sister, April (Skip) Crabtree.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis (Heitman) Orrender; brothers, Jimmy, Odell “Junior” and Ricky Orrender.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 2-3pm in the WESTBROCK FUNERAL HOME- DAYTON, 1712 WAYNE AVE. A celebration of Mike’s life will begin at 3:00pm.
