Michael William Roll

ROLL, Michael W. Age 58, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Mike was born on May 1, 1955, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati to Matt and Patricia Roll. He grew up in north Dayton, attending Corpus Christi Catholic Church and grade school. He is a graduate of Campion Jesuit High School in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, where he was a 3-year letterman in football. Mike then studied graphic design at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning (DAAP). For over 35 years he was a valued employee of Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati, where he served in multiple capacities, primarily as an X-ray technician. Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia, and brother, Robert. He is survived by his father, Matt, sister, Rebecca, brothers John (Daidre), Mark (Christine), Matt (Kris Ellen) and Nick, nieces Amanda, Michelle and Emma, and nephews Justin, Jeff, Andy, Dan and Peter. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Ross Heart Hospital and Kettering Medical Center for their excellent care of Mike in his final days. Funeral service will be at noon Monday, September 16th, at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave., Kettering, Ohio. The family will be receiving friends at the church one-half hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Hospice of Dayton.
