Michelle Lynn Zummo

Michelle Lynn Zummo, a dedicated Registered Nurse and beloved member of her community, passed away on April 26, 2025, in Centerville, Ohio, at the age of 69. Born on July 17, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, Michelle’s life was characterized by her unwavering commitment to caring for others, both in her professional endeavors and personal relationships.

Michelle graduated from Wright State University with her bachelor’s degree in nursing. Throughout her career as a nurse, Michelle exemplified compassion and devotion, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and patients alike. Her contributions to the field of nursing were marked by her exceptional skill, empathy, and a strong desire to improve the lives of those she served.

Michelle is survived by her three daughters, Nicole (Kevin) Kuntz, Meredith (James) Cashman, and Liz (Tim) Missimer, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. She was also a proud grandmother to her granddaughter, Mila, who brought her immense joy and happiness.

In addition to her immediate family, Michelle is remembered by her mother, Janet (Parker) Balderson, and her sisters, Cheryl Buchanan and Lori Moyer, who shared in her journey of life with love and support.

Michelle was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Zummo and her father, Eugene Buchanan whose memory she cherished throughout her life.

The family will greet friends from 5-7pm on Wednesday, April 30 at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd., Kettering. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, May 1 also at the funeral home. Michelle will then be laid to rest in Woodland Cemetery alongside her beloved husband.
