Nancy J Wagner, ne’e Pillichody
Passed away Thursday October 4, 2018 at her home in Kettering, Ohio. Nancy was born on May 29th, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio. She attended Fairview High School, and went on to Miami University earning a BS in Education. At Miami she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority Delta Lambda Chapter. She furthered her education at Kettering Healthcare College where she graduated in the top of her class. She loved nursing. She had a fulfilling career primarily as a medical surgery nurse at Kettering Memorial Hospital and later completed her career in the office of Dr. Walt Keyes and Dr. James Tytko, Oakwood. Nancy was a talented baton twirler. She was the Ohio State Fair Champion 1953. She also was the head drum majorette for Fairview High School and Miami University Marching Bands (1953-1957)
Nancy loved raising her family with her beloved husband, Bob of 60 years. Together they enjoyed a zest for life. In retirement, they traveled extensively abroad and toured the lower 48 states in an Airstream Motorhome. The Florida Keys was their favorite second home where they made lifelong friends.
She left behind Bob, her three children: Michael (Cindy) Wagner, Linda(Chris) Miller, Andrea (Chad)Allison, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Her funeral service will be held at St. Alberts the Great Church 3033 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429 Tuesday, October 9 at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Westbrock Funeral Home, Kettering.
