Nora M. Kuntz

Kuntz, Nora M. (Flahive), age 99 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 8, 2016. She was born July 30, 1916, the daughter of John and Mary Flahive and was a 1934 graduate of Julienne High School. Nora married John Urban Kuntz in 1940 and he predeceased her in 1973. Also predeceasing her were her son Paul Edward Kuntz (2011), brothers: John (Pauline) Flahive and Paul (Albertina) Flahive, and sisters: Kathleen (Linus) Hamman, Helen (Bernard) Wesbecher and Rita Flahive. Nora is survived by her daughter, Katherine and “favorite” son-in-law Jeff Bachey, 4 grandchildren: Michael (Carrie) Bachey, Jeffrey (Katie) Bachey, Sarah (Sean) Ginter, and Meg (Dave) Kohls, and 10 great grandchildren: Margo, Kendel, Iris, Lucas, Olive, Eilen, Nora, JD, Otto, and Eleanor, and many loving nieces and nephews. Retired from the University of Dayton Law Library, Nora was always kind hearted and optimistic, and a very, talented and competitive card player until the very end of her life. She was a devoted volunteer for St. Anthony Parish, Corner Cupboard Charities and St. Leonard. Visitation will be held at St. Leonard Chapel Saturday, June 11 9:00-10:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Anthony Church, St. Leonard or a charity of your choice. Arrangements by The Westbrock Funeral Home.
