Luther, Norma Lee, age 82 of St. Leonard’s Community in Centerville, Ohio passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on April 11, 2015 after an 8 year battle with cancer. She is survived by two sons; Joseph (Joyce) of Brookville Ohio and James (Sonia) of Orlando Florida, three grandchildren; Andrew, Timothy, and Morgan. She is also survived by her sister Doris ( Norman) Brinkman as well as brother in law Jack (Lou) Luther of Columbus Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Luther, who passed in 2009 from complications related to Alzheimer’s, as well as her parents, Edward C. and Christine M. (Brinkman) Lee. After her husband’s passing, she devoted herself to supporting the families of others affected by Alzheimer’s in any way possible, and volunteering wherever needed at St Leonard’s. A celebration of her life will be held at the chapel on the grounds of St. Leonard’s campus at 8100 Clyo Road in Centerville on Friday, April 17th. Visitation will begin at 12pm, followed by a memorial service, and burial at Calvary Cemetery. A get together will be held at the St. Leonard’s Station House after the burial. The family wishes to thank everyone (medical staff and neighbors) at St. Leonard’s and Hospice of Dayton for their care and concern during the final stage of her life and a special thanks to Dr. Bruce Bracken of UC medical center in Cincinnati who made the first 7 years after original diagnosis as full and enjoyable as possible.
