WAAG, Norman O., age 89 of Centerville passed away peacefully on Monday, August 27, 2018. He was born on January 5, 1929 in Dayton to the late, H. Otto and Florence (Heid) Waag. Also preceding him in death is his wife of 49 years, Inez Waag and great-grandson, David Waag. Norman is survived by his wife of 20 years, Janet (Sendelbach) Waag; children, Jerry (Diana) Waag, Jim (Cathy) Waag; stepchildren, Doug(Kelly) Beam, Diane Beam, Scott (Mary Ellen) Beam, Susie (Kent) Parker; grandchildren, Briana (Josh) Schaudi, Aryn Waag, Brittany (Justin) Everett, Jonathan (Katie) Waag; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Noah and Ben Schaudi, Cheyanne Wacks, Sawyer and Korben Everett; step-grandchildren, Brandon (Meredith) Beam, Lauren and Nicole Beam, Joey Beam; brother, Robert (Pat) Waag and numerous other family members and friends. He is a US Navy veteran. Norm loved living in Florida where he was surrounded by so many friends. He also enjoyed fishing, golf, beers, margaritas and naps with Briana, when she was small. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00am on Friday, August 31 at St. Helen Parish. Friends and family may visit from 4-8pm on Thursday, August 30 at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave and from 9am-10am on Friday, at the church. Norman will then be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
