Patricia Ann Haines

Patricia Ann Haines, age 74, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on January 27, 2025, surrounded by family and friends in Dayton, OH.

Born on May 9, 1950, in Lumberton, North Carolina, Ann spent much of her life dedicated to her family. Ann was married to her beloved late husband, Lewis, for 53 years. A military spouse for 19 of those years, Ann supported her family through many re-locations and transitions, always making her home a warm and welcoming place.

In her spare time, Ann was talented at crocheting, a macramé artist, and a lover of crafts. She found joy in cooking, often sharing her meals with family and friends, ensuring no one left her table hungry. In addition to her love of crafting and cooking, Ann enjoyed entertaining guests, reading, watching movies, discovering new places, and antiquing.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Janie Mae Wright and Hubert Nelson Parrish and her husband Lewis Haines. 

She is survived by her daughter, two sons, two daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, and two granddaughters-in-law, as well as her younger sister and many cherished extended family members and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, her love and spirit will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 11:00am at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. Dayton, OH with burial immediately following at New Carlisle Cemetery in Clark County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton or a charity of your choice in Ann's honor.
