Patricia Ann (Patty) Carlin, age 92, passed away on November 10, 2023. Patty is preceded in death by her parents Peter and Bernadine Belvo, and her loving husband of 52 years, John A. Carlin.
Patty is survived by her seven children, Stephen J. Carlin, Janell Hull (Robert), Shawn Carlin, Lisa Carlin, Kevin Carlin, Christel Ford (Richard), and Gina Roesch (John); ten grandchildren, Becky Monnier-Chaffin (Adam), Ansel Ford, Lissa Monnier, CPT Landis Ford (Melissa), Ryan Hull (Meli), Kenner Carlin, Clinton Ford, Johnny Hull (Krysta), Ellie Carlin, and Mickaela Carlin; two great-grandchildren, Talia Chaffin and Margaret Hull. She is also survived by her brothers Jerry and Albert Belvo.
Patty lived in Centerville her whole life. After graduating from Centerville High School, she worked at NCR were she met her husband John. Patty was a stay-at-home mom raising their seven children. Over the years she sold Tupperware, World Book Encyclopedias, and Shaklee vitamins. Patty also ran Jump’s Peanuts after her husband died before passing it on to her son Stephen. Throughout her life, she was active in St. Charles and St. Augustine churches. She had a strong faith which she instilled in her children. When she lived at St. Leonard’s Senior Living Community she attended mass daily and frequently prayed the rosary. Most people at St. Leonard’s knew Patty as the lady who loved working on jigsaw puzzles and playing cards.
The Mass of Christian Burial is November 17th, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Leonard Chapel, burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd. in Kettering on November 16th from 4:00-7:00pm and one hour prior to the mass at St. Leonard Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of Dayton.
