Patricia A. Scaglione

Patricia (Pat) Scaglione passed away comfortably at home September 13, 2017. Born August 18, 1931 in Passaic, NJ, she is the daughter of the late Joseph and Martha Gillis. She married Air Force Lieutenant Joseph Scaglione in 1955, relocating to Dayton, Ohio. After 62 loving years of marriage, she is survived by Joseph; children Paul (Mary Lynn), James (Cindy), Jan, Lynn (Nelson), and Joseph (Alicia); and grandchildren Michelle, Amy, Autumn, Anthony, Hannah, and Jacob. Patricia was active in the Catholic Church. During her 35+ years at Saint Francis of Assisi she was involved in the Eucharistic ministry, Bereavement ministry, Renew, Bible study, and CCD. Her great compassion for the sick and elderly was the impetus for her pioneering administration of Holy Communion to those unable to attend Church services. Her spiritual support knew no boundaries. The family will receive friends at Westbrock Funeral Home, Kettering, Ohio, Tuesday, September 19th from 4:00PM-7:00PM. Funeral Mass will be at Saint Francis of Assisi, Centerville, Ohio, Wednesday, September 20th, 10:30AM. She will be interred at Calvary Cemetery. The family is grateful for the caring support of Touching Hearts at Home and Hospice Care of Dayton. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice Care of Dayton are appreciated.
