WAHLRAB, Patricia M.
89, of Centerville died peacefully December 15, 2010, at home in the Joseph Bernardin Residence at St. Leonard, Centerville, Ohio. Pat was born in Los Angeles, California on March 17, 1921, daughter of the late Donald and Agnes Davis, whose ancestors date back to the beginnings of the founding of our country. Raised in Dayton where she attended St. Anthony Elementary and Dayton Patterson H.S., Pat married Aloysius Jerome Wahlrab in 1942, and with him raised 5 children. She retired from Sears, Roebuck & Co. in 1984. Pat, a former longtime member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, and a resident of St. Leonard for the past 12 years lived each and every day for her family. She will be remembered for her Irish spirit, her kind words for all, her recognition of beauty in everything and her sense of knowing the goodness that resides in everyone. She was an incredible mother, a dear friend and a truly beautiful and loving person to all who knew her.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, and sister, Marjorie Penrod-Essman. She is survived by all of her adoring children: Patty (Harold) Lammert, Kathie (Bud) Weekley, Tom (Ellenmarie) Wahlrab, Janet (Jim) Yahle and Jim (Sandy) Wahlrab; And 13 grandchildren: Steve (Michelle); Chris; Mike (Jess); Amentahru (Sarah); David (Melissa); Melissa (Shawn); Josiah; Diana (John); Philip (Mary); Djuna; Melinda (Bo); Craig; Amanda. And 5 great-grand children: Ashley, Katie, Elizabeth, Aubrey, and Andrew, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 19th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering and again on Monday December 20th from 10:00 until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leonard's Chapel, 8100 Clyo Road, Centerville. Burial will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be given to the benevolent fund at St. Leonard Chapel or The Hospice of Dayton.
