Patrick Mazzone

MAZZONE, Patrick D. age 71, a longtime resident of Beavercreek, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 14, 2009. Pat graduated from Sinclair College with an Associate Degree in Tool Engineering Technology in 1958. After 37 years of employment with GM/Delco Moraine he retired in 1991. He was a veteran serving in the Ohio Air National Guard 162nd Tactical Fighter Squadron. Pat belonged to many organizations including: St. Henry's Parish, The Sons of Italy/John Perilli Lodge #1633, The Milton Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Walnut Grove Country Club and was a past President of The Kiwanis Club of Beavercreek. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Antoniette Mazzone. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Ruth Mazzone, his son Frank and daughter-in-law Kathy, daughter Leone West and son-in-law Tony and daughter, Angela. Finally Pat's pride and joy, the four grandsons: Robert West, James West, Patrick Mazzone and Nicholas Mazzone. Pat will also be greatly missed by his two sisters, Mary Fares and Gilda Rittenhouse, in-laws, Peggy and Alan Young, niece, Tonnette Smith and her husband Danny, nephew, David Sutton and his wife Lori, niece, Julie Henkel and her husband Chuck, nephew, Ross Prevatt and his wife Suzi, nephew Robert Prevatt and his wife Dez, nephew Mike Sutton and nephew Rob Rittenhouse, numerous great-nieces, great- nephews and close friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 17th from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18th at St. Henry Catholic Church, 6696 Springboro Pike. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul or American Heart Association.
