Preceded in death by his wife Margaret his wife of 69 years, his parents W.J. and Cora Ranly Reichert and six brothers and sisters.
He is survived by four sons David, Daniel (Suzanne), Kenneth (Jamie) and Kevin.
A proud grandparent of Jake (Kelly) and Ashley Blackwell-Guerra; Sarah, Kate (Dave) Easwaran, Paul (Jen) and Emma; Lawrence and John; Rebecca and Hannah; great grandchildren Kayla and J.D. Reichert; Charlie and Alex Easwaran.
Dr. Paul graduated from Coldwater High School in 1941. From 1941-1943, he attended St. Joseph’s College before being inducted into the U.S. Navy. From June 1943 to December 1945 he proudly served in the Submarine Service both in the North Atlantic and the South Pacific. He continued his education at the University of Dayton graduating in December 1947. While attending U.D., he spent the autumn playing football and his summers playing baseball in the Brooklyn Dodgers Organization.
On December 27, 1947 he married Margaret August and the two began a long life together.
In 1948 Dr. Paul continued his education at The Ohio State University School of Dentistry graduating in 1952. He practiced General Dentistry in Dayton for 30 years.
He served as President of the St. Albert’s Parish Council and initial Treasurer of the Alter High School Boosters Association. He loved coaching baseball, an afternoon on the golf course, working in the garden and especially his family.
He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He will be buried along with his partner in life, Margaret.
Funeral services will be held at St. Albert the Great Parish on Friday, April 6, 2018. The family will receive guests and friends at 10:30am prior to the funeral mass at 12:00noon. Paul and Margaret will be buried together at Calvary Cemetery immediately following the mass.
