SENDELBACH, PAUL JOSEPH, age 66, of Washington Township died on Saturday, September 26, 2009. Paul was born in Dayton on August 6, 1943, attended Holy Trinity and was a 1961 graduate of Chaminade High School. He received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Dayton. He was at NCR for over 30 years, at which he worked in many different positions. After "retiring," Paul co-owned a home construction company, taught mechanical drawing at Alter High School and most recently, managed the inventory and warehouse for Marion's Piazza. He was also former president, referee, and coach for the Centerville SAY soccer league. Paul enjoyed an occasional golf game, goofing around with his grandchildren and his nightly Manhattan. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Alfred Sendelbach and a brother, Eugene Sendelbach. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elaine Karen Sendelbach (nee Rudzinski); children: Brian (Elizabeth) Sendelbach of Washington Township; Carolyn (Robert) Burns of West Chester, OH and Matthew (Kimberly) Sendelbach of Fishkill, NY; grandchildren: Albin and Rose Sendelbach; Noah and Ellie Burns and Luke, Anya, Paul, Adam and Katherine Sendelbach; sisters: Rita Sendelbach of New Paris, OH; Doris (Rudolph) Krafka of Washington Township; Janet (Norm) Waag of Dayton and Shirley (Eugene) Hausfeld of Kettering; brothers: Charles (Ruth) Sendelbach of Washington Township and Donald (Irma) Sendelbach of Mount Prospect, IL. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Helen Rudzinski of Centerville; brothers-in-law: Robert (Julie) Rudzinski of Phoenix, AZ and Stephen (Suzanne) Rudzinski of McLean, VA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Miguel Parillo and Dr. James Sabiers, as well as their respective staffs, for their extraordinary care and compassion. Another special thanks to the staff at Hospice of Dayton, with particular regard for Beth, Melody and Patti. Paul was a gift from God to his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. Visitation will be held, Wednesday, September 30th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 1st at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave, Centerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Paul's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, 1293 Lyons Road #H, Dayton 45458 or The St. Leonard's Benevolent Fund, 8100 Clyo Road, Centerville 45458.
