Clemenz, Peggy Carol, age 93, of Centerville, Ohio passed away on December 21, 2018.
Born to Theodore Stanton Zeh and Gertrude Techla Baur Zeh December 4, 1925 in Cincinnati (Pleasant Ridge), Ohio
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Leroy, Ellen Louise Zeh Cox, Theodore Baur Zeh, Nancy Zeh Graf and David Baur Zeh.
She graduated from Cincinnati Withrow High School and immediately joined the cadet nursing program at Cincinnati Jewish Hospital, where she graduated in the nursing program.
In 1948, she met and married Leroy E. Clemenz of Lawrenceville, Indiana and lived in Ft. Wayne, Indiana while Roy finished his engineering degree. They settled in Lawrenceville and eventually built a home in Bright, Indiana.
In 1958, Roy began working for Travelers Ins. Co. and they eventually moved to Centerville, Ohio, where they lived for nearly 60 years. Roy and Peggy would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year.
Peggy worked as a nurse for many years, at Miami Valley Hospital and for an orthopedic surgeon in the Dayton area.
Peggy loved gardening and shared that passion with Roy. Peggy, Roy and several others founded the Centerville Community Church and she always worked with a loving and serving spirit. She and Roy visited patients in a nursing home in Bellbrook, Ohio every week for nearly 30 years, bringing cheer and love to all.
She is survived by daughter Jill Clemenz Hesson (Jim), Gary Clemenz (Debby) and Dan Clemenz (Phylis), 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Peggy and Roy loved to travel/camp and visited most of the 50 states in a popup trailer.
Peggy leaves a strong example of faith, love and devotion to God and her family and will forever be in our hearts.
Our entire family would like to thank everyone at Quaker Heights for providing outstanding care for the last 2 years and Hospice of Dayton more recently. It has truly been a blessing to all of us.
Friends and family may visit from 1pm to 3pm on Friday December 28th at the Centerville Community Church. The funeral service will begin at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Centerville Community Church in memory of Peggy. Arrangements entrusted to Westbrock Funeral Home
