Senkiw, Peter D. Age 86, of Centerville, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 after a short illness. He was a member of Incarnation Church, a United States Air Force Veteran, an esteemed businessman in the software/systems/services industry and a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Mr. Senkiw was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna (Lawryk) Senkiw, wife Martha (Barnhill) Senkiw, and recently his brother, Daniel Senkiw. He is survived by his three children, Gregory (Laura), Stefanie (William Krebs) and Patricia (John Haws); special friend, Patricia Hickey; twelve grandchildren, Nicole, Ryan, Paige, Kara and Kristen Senkiw, Natalia, William, Patrick, Marta, Peter, Nikolas and Joseph Krebs; and one great grandchild, Nathaniel Krebs.
Pete enlisted in the United States Air Force right out of high school in New York. He served during the Korean War and was instrumental in negotiating the delivery of the MIG 15 to the United States

(click the link). He served in the Air Technical Intelligence Center and spent time in Saudi Arabia as well as at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. He read/wrote Ukrainian and Russian, which was beneficial to the MIG 15 recovery, in addition to his extensive plane knowledge. “Pete’s MIG 15” is on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. He met Martha while in the service, and they wed in 1962.
After time in the USAF, he attended Wright State University, as a mathematics major, graduating in 1969. After graduation, he worked for the NCR Corporation before starting his own business. Pete was founder and president of Advanced Computer Systems Inc. and later president of BCD Technology and Workers’ COMP-LINK. He was always forward-thinking and an entrepreneur at heart. He will be sorely missed by family and friends for the big-hearted person he was.
