Phyllis A Scheu

SCHEU, Phyllis A., age 100, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Sanctuary at Wilmington Place. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Emma Weaver, brothers, Romain & Joe and sister, Mary. She is survived by son, Thomas A. (Dorothy) of Dayton, daughter, Phyllis Ann Fackler of New Carlisle and son, George C. (Donna) of Centerville; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way; numerous nieces, nephews and a devoted niece, Mary Ann (John) Fecke. Phyllis was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia and a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Phyllis retired from Rike’s where she worked in food service for over 18 years. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was an avid and passionate card player and she became known as “Little Vegas”. Visitation will be from 9-11AM on Tuesday, March 27 at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45410. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, March 27 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 S. Smithville Rd in Dayton with Fr. Joseph Satish officiating. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. Donations may be made to Hospice of Miami Valley, American Lung and Cancer Society or St. Jude’s, in memory of Phyllis.The family would like to thank the staff of the Sanctuary at Wilmington for all of their dedicated care and support.
