Ralph Grant

GRANT, RALPH “BUD”, age 90, passed away July 6, 2011. Bud is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy; sons: Gregory (Lori) and Stephen (Diane), grandchildren: Timothy, Lauren, Melissa, Jennifer and great -granddaughter, Emily. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Winfred Grant and his sister, Charlotte Longenecker and a grandson, Brian. A graduate of Stiver’s High School class of 1939, he served his country in both the Army Air Corps and The United States Air Force as a pilot. He retired from Leland Electro Systems in 1985. Bud enjoyed life to the fullest and shared his joy with all who met him. Visitation will be Friday, July 8th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave, Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m., Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 411 E. Second Street, Dayton. Entombment will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Catholic Social Services or The St. Vincent DePaul Society of Dayton.
