Richard A. Kraemer

Kraemer, Richard, A. 51 of Kettering passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31st, 2017. Richard was born on February 18th, 1966 to Albert and Audrey Kraemer in Burlington, ON, CA. He graduated from Assumption Catholic Secondary School and later earned a scholarship to play basketball at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. At Iona, Richard became a founding member of the Alpha Tau Chi fraternity where he met many of his closest friends. He eventually went on to graduate from Iona College earning his Bachelor’s degree. It was at this time that Richard began his greatest adventure, raising his children Nicholas, Nathan, Lauren, and Joseph. He thoroughly enjoyed coaching his children, whether it was on the field or on the sidelines, and did so from pee-wee soccer to college athletics. Richard was a devoted son, father, Pop Pop, brother, and friend to many.

Richard was proceeded in death by his beloved son, Joey and brother, David.

He is survived by his parents, Albert and Audrey, his children, Nicholas, Nathan (Kelsey), and Lauren (Matthew), his grandchildren, Jordyn, Weston, and Charlotte, his sister, Marion (James), and numerous other friends and family.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Richard’s life on November 10th from 5-8PM at Westbrock Funeral Home, Bigger Rd. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 11th at 10:30AM at St. Charles Borromeo, Ackerman Blvd. Services will continue at David’s Cemetery, Mad River Rd.

Richard’s family would like to especially thank the members of the care team at the Kettering Cancer Center as well as the members of the care team at Hospice of Dayton.
