Richard J. Roll

ROLL, RICHARD JOSEPH "DICK," age 86 of Kettering, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mathias and Loretta Roll and a grandson, James Roll. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Wanda Roll; children: Polly Roll, Marilou (Tom) Nevius, Julie (Bo) Bilinski, Richard Roll Jr., Pete (Polly) Roll, Greg (Molly) Roll, Jane (Bill) Lastrapes, James Roll and Andrew Roll; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters; brother, John Roll and sisters: Marianne Phillips and Loretta Haeer. Dick was a 1944 graduate of Chaminade High School and a 1950 graduate of The University of Dayton. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Miami Valley Golf Club for 46 years. Dick was employed for 40+ years as a sales representative for Chatfield Paper and retired with Xpedex. The Roll Family is grateful to the entire staff at Lincoln Park Manor for their excellent care and compassion given to Dick. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 16th from 10:30 – 11:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at St. Albert the Great Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave, Kettering. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of Donor's Choice.
