Richard Alan Lawhorn

Lawhorn, Richard Alan (Rick) age 54, passed away at home on Monday, March 28, 2016. Rick was born in Dayton on August 9, 1961 to Rita (Hinders) and James A. Lawhorn, Sr. as the 4th of 5 Lawhorn children. Rick was retired from his position as a die setter at Mark Concepts, Inc. /Mancor Ohio, Inc. Rick was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan traveling to Yankee stadium to watch his Reds play. Rick was preceded in death by his mother and father and brother, James A. Lawhorn, Jr. Rick is survived by his partner in life Vickie Behnken; sisters and spouses Linda Lacovo (James) of Connecticut, Pamela Lacovo (Louis) of Arizona, and Michele Gibbs of Florida; children and grandchildren: Tiffany Lawhorn (Dylan and Kyle) of Illinois, Christina Funta and spouse Eric (Lily and Kate) of Florida, and Richard Behnken of Dayton, OH; nieces: Michelle Hench, Lisa Parmelee, Teresa Gibbs and nephews: Daniel Gibbs, Michael Lacovo, Stephen Lacovo, Nicholas Lacovo. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am, Saturday, April 2 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm Friday, April 1 at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Avenue. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard's name to Hospice of Dayton, envelopes available at the funeral home.
