Rita A Dakin
Rita grew up in a big family with 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She got along and loved most of them . She had a great sense of humor to match her husband Jerrys sense of humor. She enjoyed cooking, and was good at it, almost to a detriment so it made it hard at times for 10 Wilmington Place, which treated her so well, to meet all her culinary expectations. She enjoyed playing cards especially at a big Yahle party or while spending the weekend at the cottage at Indian Lake. She enjoyed going out in the boat, gardening, doing cross word puzzles and reading. There were always stacks of paperbacks around her house at least until it was hard for her to see small print. She was an artist and a very good one. She enjoyed decorating her house for the holidays. She enjoyed nature and loved spending weekends at Indian Lake and to go to State Parks with her family to cookout and hike. She loved and hated the Reds and Bengals depending on how their season was going. Rita enjoyed animals. She always had a dog such as Daffy or cats such as Angle and Walley around her house.
She was a stay-at-home wife and mother for years until later when the kids were out of the house and Jerry was working and living in Columbus. Then she worked for Baker and Associates doing assembly work.
What she loved most was her family. She loved spending time with her mother and father Angie and Charles and the rest of her brothers and sisters. She loved the big family gatherings every holiday. The summer picnics, fish fry’s and big “Yahle” Christmas parties. She loved her husband Jerry and was a good wife. She loved her kids Teri and Dan and was a good mother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids David, Evan, Elizabeth, and Kelly. She loved receiving calls and cards from them to hearing about their lives as they continued to mature and become successful. She always said she never got enough time with her great grandchild Maxi who will unfortunately not get the chance to know her.
She lived a good and fulfilling life and she lived and died on her own terms. God Rest Her Soul.
