PLEIMAN (Welther), Rita M. age 86, passed away Monday January 5, 2009. Rita was born in Dayton, OH on February 28, 1922. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Dayton Elks #58 Lodge, the American Legion Auxiliary #0586, the Dayton Catholic Woman's Club, Lake Laramie Improvement Association. Rita retired from Walter E. Stebbins High School as the Principal's secretary. She previously worked at Frigidaire, Mike-Sells and the Coca Cola Company. She was a graduate of Parker Co-op High School (Patterson Co-op). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernon J. Pleiman whom she married on October 18 1947 at Saint Marys Church in Dayton. Vernon passed away on May 25, 2001. Her parents Michael and Veronica (Nartker) Welther. One brother, J. Robert Welther, and three sisters Ruth (Welther) Froehle, Mildred (Welther) Zimmerle, and Mary (Welther) Pekelnisky. Rita is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Susan P. Davis and husband Richard of Naples, FL and Barbara A. Issenmann and husband William of Miamisburg. Two sons and their spouses Vernon J. and wife Judy (Quinn) of Tipp City and Michael R. and his wife Regina (Shafner) of Butler Twp. Rita was also blessed with 12 grandchildren: Amy (Issenmann) Dobson and her husband Dave, Anthony J. Issenmann and his wife Laura (Duncan). Richard B. Davis and his wife Katherine (Hunsaker), Julie Issenmann, Sarah Issenmann, Alison Pleiman, Rachel Pleiman, Ross Pleiman, Nicholas Pleiman and Christine Pleiman, Katherine Pleiman, Kelly Pleiman and 3 great-grandchildren Addison, Owen, and Eden Dobson. Also numerous nieces and nephews and friends including brother-in law Paul Pekelnisky and sister-in-law Mary Jo Welther. Mass of Christian Burial 10: 00am Thursday at Our Lady of the Rosary Church.. Burial Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8pm Wednesday at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712. Wayne Avenue. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Rosary Church Fund.
