Rita M. Waker

WAKER, Rita M., age 94 of Dayton passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016. She was born in Dayton to the late, Adolph and Estella (Orf) Waker. Also preceding her in death are siblings, Adolph Waker, Al Waker, Adelle Meyer, Sally Waker, Rosemary Waker, Estelle VandenBosch, Sr. Mary Isabelle Waker SND, Victor and Frank Waker. Rita is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; a very close friend, Pauline Westendorf, and many other extended family and friends. Rita worked at NCR in the Accounting Dept. She has been a longtime member of Holy Angels Church, Holy Angels Rosary Altar and the Leisure Club. Friends and family may visit from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave, Dayton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am on Thursday, October 13 at Church of the Holy Angels. Rita will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the Walnut Creek Nursing Home Activities Fund. The family would like to thank the nurses and all of the staff at Walnut Creek for all of their care and compassion over the past 15 years.
