ANDERSON, Robert E. age 81 of Dayton passed away Saturday February 9, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Bonny; his parents, Ann and Herm and his brother and sister-in-law, Hammy and Patty Ann. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Berna (Kranz); his children, Bob (Brenda), Annie Guter (Stephen), Lynn Heller (Mark), Cathy Flesch (Joseph), Peggy Pattison (Tom), Carol, Tricia Walton (Miles), Tony; 17 grandchildren and one great grandson. A native of St. Paul, MN, Bob was a graduate of the College of St. Thomas where he was a Hall of Fame swimmer. He started his career with the Air Force and transferred to the Defense Contract Audit Agency where he headed their Audit Institute in Memphis for 7 years. After returning to Air Force Audit Agency, he ended his career as Associate Director of Procurement for the Air Force at WPAFB. His passion was always his faith and his family. Fiercely loving, he was a beacon of integrity in our present world. Bob coached his kids and followed their teams through grade school, high school and college. An avid Bridge player, he achieved the rank of a Bronze Life Master. He was a proud member of the NRA and was loved by many and adored by his family. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM Tuesday February 12 at St. Charles Borromeo Church. The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd.
