Robert Ferguson

FERGUSON, Robert J. Age 84, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Friday October 26, 2012. Robert was born on August 15, 1928 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Marion and George Ferguson. Robert worked in the Finance business for over 40 years, retiring from Chrysler First Financial Services. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty (Nausadis) of Dayton, daughters Sandy (Kenneth) Beall of Dayton, Betsy (Steve) Kohls of Dayton and son Chris (Stephanie) Ferguson of VA and his beloved grandchildren: Rob, Steve, Mike, Julie, Brian, Sam and Libby. Robert was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church. During his retirement, Robert worked in security for the Dayton International Airport and the Dayton Art Institute. He loved playing basketball and baseball with the Hithergreen Senior Center - especially his C.I.A. buddies. Robert was proud to have had earned his pilots license, been an avid painter and of hang gliding (He said once was enough - but he did it.) He felt most proud of his children and grandchildren, their accomplishments and the wonderful people they turned out to be. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 30 at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. The family will receive fiends Monday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. Burial, Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Acclaim Hospice, envelopes available at the funeral home.The family expresses heart felt thanks to friends at Acclaim Hospice(Amy and Cathy), Comfort Keepers (Jackie), and Trinity Community in Beavercreek.
