HOHL, Robert J., age 90, passed peacefully September 26, 2018, while under home Hospice care. Born March 15, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio to Joseph and Luella (Neumann) Hohl. He graduated from Chaminade High School in 1947, attended University of Dayton and Wright State University. He graduated from Dayton School of Tool and Die Design. Robert was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps and served bravely in Korea during the Korean conflict. He worked in quality control for Monarch Marking, National Cash Register and retired from Elano (Unison Industries) Corporation of Beavercreek, Ohio in 1993. Robert is a member of Saint Albert’s Catholic Church, Life Associate member of the O.S.U. Alumni Association, life member of the V.F.W., member of the Butler County O.S.U. Alumni Association, and Wandering Wheels Volksmarching Club, was active in the Y Indian Guide program and Fairmont Boosters in the 70’s. Over the years, he was active in the Hymns and Bells and Dinner for Eight groups at Christ United Methodist Church in Kettering. He loved Volksmarching, camping around the country, in addition to twelve memorable trips out of the country. Beloved husband, dad, grandpa and brother, married since 1954 to his loving wife Jeanne (Blocksom) Hohl. They have three children: Christopher J. (Heidi) of Nashville, Tennessee; Gregory J. (Karen) of Centerville, and Caroline J. of Kettering. Nine Grandchildren: Chris R., Sam, Jamie, Charles (Stella), Cookie, Tyler, Molly, Ryan and Allison. Two great grandchildren: Kaiden and Ava. Preceded in death by his sister Ruth A. Hohl and survived by his sister Phyllis Seidl (Len) of Centerville, three nieces, two nephews and his beloved cats Calie and Boots. Mass of the Christian Burial, 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at St. Albert’s the Great Church. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
