RICHARDSON, ROBERT A. "Coach", age 76, passed away Monday, August 3, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret (Slater) and John Richardson, and a son, James Elmer Richardson. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara (Stang) Richardson, his 10 children: Robert, Jr., David (Carla), Clarence & Clete Richardson, Angela (Lonnie) Mason, Margaret (Jim) Baber, Laura Richardson (fianc? Chris Arnold), Jeanne (Karl) Erling, Henry (Tricia) & John (Nicole) Richardson, grandchildren: Bobby, Elisa, Nick, Hannah, Brenna, Logan, Sarah, Cole, Riley, Leandra, Jamey, Kristina, Ean, Keira, Neala, Liam, Declan & Madalyn and step-grandchildren: Lyndsey, Brandy, Ethan, Wade, Kayla, Ashley & Chelsea. Robert was a 3rd class petty officer in the United States Navy from 1952-1956 and stationed in Patuxent River, MD. He was the founder and coached youth football for the Chaminade-Julienne Feeder Program for 35 years. He was also an assistant football coach for Chaminade-Julienne High School where he was a Monogram Award Winner. Robert was an independent insurance agent for 50+ years, a past grand knight, Knights of Columbus Marian Council 3754, President of Past Grand Knights, President of Corpus Christi Athletic Association, President and member of Corpus Christi Parish Council; member of Corpus Christi Parish for 44 years, and avid supporter of UD Football & Basketball holding season tickets since the opening of the Fieldhouse & Baujan Field and actively supported all things at Corpus Christi Parish and Chaminade-Julienne. One of Roberts' favorite passions was watching his grandchildren play sports. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 6th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave, Dayton 45410. Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 a.m. Friday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 224 Squirrel Road, Dayton 45405. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richardson Family.
