SATZGER, Robert L., Age 87 of Centerville passed away
Saturday, January 21, 2017. Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife Joy Patricia Satzger; brother, Barry Satzger and sister, Sue Wehmeier. He is survived by his five children: Duane (Kim) Satzger, Mark (Peggy) Satzger, Denise (Bill) Vari, Douglas (Lorie) Satzger, and Tammy (Brian) Crum; eleven grandchildren: Ryan (Sarah) Satzger, Lindsay (Jeramie) Selders, Erin (Chad) Clemons, Kristin (Mike) Blum, Rob (Emily) Satzger, Lauren (Danny) Fortener, Bo Vari, Kayla and Nick Satzger, Maggie and Alex Crum; eight great-grandchildren: Evelyn, Madeleine, and Ann Selders, Mary Alice Clemons, Gabriella and Charlie Blum, Graham Satzger and Dominic Fortener. He was a devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bob is a veteran of the U.S. Army. Bob was a long-time member of The Miami Valley Music Men and Southern Gateway Chorus. His passion for singing extended to his involvement in Incarnation’s Choir. Bob was an avid swimmer throughout his life participating in Senior Olympics Swimming competitions. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 25th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 26th at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave, Centerville. Burial will follow the Mass at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Cincinnati. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
