Robert Young

Young, Robert L. Age 74 of Centerville passed away Tuesday March 11, 2014. Bob was the beloved husband of Karen. They would have been married 50 years in September. He was also the adored father of Theresa (Ed) Busher and Mark (Tracey) Young and precious grandfather to Nicholas, Laura, Natalie, Joseph, Matthew Busher and Michael King. Bob was a manager for 30 years with Ohio Bell. Throughout his working and retired life, Bob was constantly helping others. He was a past President of the Telephone Pioneers and the Dayton District Council of St. Vincent de Paul. Bob was dedicated to the St. Vincent Food Pantry, coordinated Incarnation Parish’s annual Christmas Kindness program, and was a Eucharistic Minister. To know Bob was to meet the embodiment of the Christian spirit. He was kind, generous to the core, and down to earth with a great sense of humor. Bob gave freely and without judgment. His family and countless friends will miss him immensely and try to carry on his legacy of love and service to others. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Monday March 17 at Incarnation Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday March 16 from 2 to 6pm at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul or Hospice of Dayton, envelopes will be available at the church.
