Ronald Earhart

Ronald Eugene Earhart passed away on September 2, 2024 at the age of 84. Ron was surrounded by family. Ron was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 4, 1939 to Lester (Bus) and Dorothy Earhart. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister Janet Earhart Wadsworth. Ron was best known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor. Ron will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Ron graduated from The University of Dayton with a degree in electrical engineering. He was commissioned in the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant Ordinance Corp, where he served in Vietnam from 1962 to 1964. Upon his return, he worked for Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a civilian electronic engineer for the next 25 years. Ron was dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ and to the Catholic Church. Ron fought tirelessly for the rights of the unborn. A member of Catholic Alumni Club, Ron donated his time and talents to Catholic charities. After retiring, he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. He loved playing cards with friends, and was an avid genealogist, woodworker, gardener, and winemaker.

Visitation to honor Ron's life will be held Friday September 6 at 10:00 am at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Road, Kettering, Ohio, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am. Ron will be laid to rest alongside his father and mother at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley (www.catholiccharitiesusa.org/members/catholic-social-services-of-the-miami-valley/). Alternatively, donations may be given to Dayton Right to Life (www.daytonlife.org/).
