Rosalind Zillich

ZILLICH, Rosalind M. Age 93 from Flint, Michigan, Centerville, Ohio and Jackson Township passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 from complications of Alzheimer's disease and heart failure. Rosalind was born August 3, 1919, second daughter of the late John F. Waite and Sarah Delisle Waite in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from St. Michael's in that city. Rosalind enjoyed drawing, painting, had a great interest in history and attended many years of "senior" classes at University of Dayton. She was one of the founding family members of the Incarnation Catholic Church, where she was an active member of the Leisure Club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her adoring husband, William J. Zillich, a GM tech graduate, who was hired by the Defense Department and relocated to Wright Paterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio in 1941. Rosalind joined the war effort and also worked at "Wright Pat". The couple established their roots in Centerville, Ohio in 1950 where they lived for 52 years. Rosalind also worked at the Dayton Community Blood Center in Dayton and retired from there. She is survived by her son, Gary L. Zillich, daughter-in-law, Sandra Swan-Zillich of Jackson Twp., Ohio, grandson, Dr. Alan J. (Colleen) Zillich of Indianapolis, Indiana, great grandson, Oliver Q. Zillich, sister, Elizabeth Ann Pamerleau of Grayling, Michigan, 6 nieces and 2 nephews, 16 great nieces and nephews and 31 great-great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering, Ohio (937-253-6161) 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012. A brief service will be held at 10:30 with Father Gerald Haemmerle officiating. Interment will follow at David's Cemetery, 4600 Mad River road, Kettering, Ohio (937-434-2255) where Rosalind will join her beloved "Bill". Friends and family are invited to "The Gathering Room" at David's Cemetery following interment for a "Celebration of Life" and Fellowship at 12:00 Noon
