KOENIG, Rosann (Hinders), age 88, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Anna (Leidig) Hinders; husband of 64 years, George J. Koenig, Sr. (2014); son George J. Koenig, Jr., “adopted son” Paul Kuntz, and numerous brothers and sisters. Rosann is survived by her beloved children: Thomas (Joyce) Koenig, Deborah (Adam) Ravestein and Denise (Rick) Graham; adoring grandchildren: Karen (Tony), Terence (Katie), Adam (Brett), Melissa (Kip), John (Brittany), Maria (fiancé, DJ), Jeremy (fiancé, Bethany), Christopher (Heather), Garrett and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous devoted nieces and nephews, cousins, and good friends Rebecca, Judy and Mark. She was a lifetime member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, known as an “adopted mom” by many, a coach, a volunteer at school, a Bingo enthusiast, an avid Red’s Fan and the best cabbage-roll maker ever. Rosann was very loving and was the ultimate hostess; many will remember her annual Christmas Eve celebrations. Visitation will be held Friday, August 11th, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave., Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 12th, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 22 Notre Dame Ave, Dayton.
