Saverio and his wife moved from Dayton, OH to New York City, NY where they spent 3 years before returning to Dayton, OH finally settling in Kettering, OH. Saverio retired from F&G Tool and Die Co. in 1998 after 30 years of dedicated service. During his lifetime, Saverio and Ascelsa worked extremely hard to achieve the American dream which provided them the opportunity enjoy some rest and well-deserved relaxation. In 2007 Saverio and Ascelsa bought a Winter home in Surprise, AZ where they enjoyed meeting new friends, playing bocce ball and participating in a variety of activities within the active adult community. Saverio was known for having an exceptionally good “green thumb” growing his garden while in Kettering and enjoying his fruit trees in Arizona. He was most proud when he was recognized by the city of Kettering for the pristine landscaping at his home property. Saverio enjoyed wood working, making wine, and making sausage with his family. Finally, Saverio loved opera and would be known to sing along with his favorite singer, Luciano Pavarotti, when with family.
Saverio will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice of Dayton and Oak Creek Terrace for the exceptional care they provided in his final weeks.
