Sharon R. Yahle

Yahle, Sharon Rose, of Washington Township, Ohio passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family, on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at the age of 71. Sharon was born on August 17, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio to Casper and Mary Voit. As the second of seven children, Sharon was known as her mother’s helper. She would always assist her mother with her younger siblings without complaint.
After graduating from St. Joe High School in 1966, she attended The Richard Weston Beauty School. While she truly enjoyed her work as a beautician, Sharon’s most important work, was done inside her home, as wife of nearly 49 years to Jack, mother of their two daughters Kelly and Valerie, and grandmother to her five grandchildren.
Sharon loved her church, her friends, and most of all her family, including the seven Boston Terriers that she raised throughout her lifetime. She spent her free time cooking, sewing, enjoying her favorite treat from Bill’s Donuts, and with the wind in her hair for over 100,000 miles on the back of her husband’s motorcycle.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Casper & Mary Voit, sisters Chrissy and Sara Voit, parents-in-law Edwin & Dorothy Yahle, and brother-in-law Patrick Yahle.
She is survived by her beloved husband Jack Yahle and their Boston Terrier Whizzer, oldest daughter Kelly (Dave) Parin and their children Patrick and Wyatt Parin, youngest daughter Valerie (Scott) Henry and their children Liam, Lucy and Olivia Henry, siblings Judy (John) Weckesser, Victoria McNeal, Ron (Carol) Voit, Mary (Rick) Sander, Brothers-in-law Michael Yahle, Jim (Janet) Yahle, Steve (Sue) Yahle, Sister-in-law Roberta (Cal) Jones, and Judy Yahle.
She is also survived by her special friends Glenn (Sonnie) Woodworth, Doris Krafka and Sharon Mason.
We will miss Sharon as a loving wife, proud mother, grandmother, sister and friend and we will definitely miss her fixing country fried steak while she quietly sang along to Elvis.
As a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, Sharon had a very close relationship with God and her church family. She never met a stranger and she never missed a mass. Our family takes solace in knowing that she is now greeting friends and attending eternal mass, in heaven.
Our family would like to give special thanks to Sycamore Hospital ICU nurses Treva and Tenise who were true angels during the final week of her life.
Sharon’s family and friends will gather on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 5-7 pm with a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm. Both will take place at Westbrock Funeral Home 5980 Bigger Road Kettering, Ohio 45440. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or SICSA. Online condolences may be sent to www.westbrockfuneralhome.com .
