Shawn Christopher Moorman

MOORMAN, Shawn C., age 36 of Kettering passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 14, 2017. He was born in Dayton on March 3, 1981 to Christopher J. Moorman and Christena (Harrison) Black. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Magdeline Moorman and father-in-law, Sean Kingdom. Shawn is survived by his loving wife, Erin (Kingdom) Moorman; his parents; his siblings, Shannon Moorman, Jason (Kelsey) Moorman; grandfather, Edgar J. Moorman; mother-in-law, Karen Kingdom; sister-in-law, Rachel (Sarah) Kingdom; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, half-siblings, cousins and friends. Shawn graduated from Dixie High School and Sinclair Community College with an Associate Degree in Communications. He was employed as an Auditor with the Meijer Distribution Center. He enjoyed sports including football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, and disc golf. Shawn was a quiet and intelligent person, but when he had something to say, it was meaningful. He will be missed by all that knew him. Shawn was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish where he served as an usher. Friends and family may visit from 4-8pm on Friday, August 18 at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd., Kettering. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am on Saturday, August 19th at St. Charles Borromeo. Shawn will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your favorite charity in memory of Shawn.
