SCHMID, Stella, (Nonie/Super Nonie),100, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Oak Creek Terrace in Kettering, Ohio, of natural causes. She was born on February 11, 1915 in Springfield, Ohio to Domenico and Giovanina (Barbaresco) Bianco. Predeceased by her husband Anton, her sister Zaira Sellan and brothers Celeste, Richard, Louis and Tony Bianco, she is survived by her only child, Nadine, and son-in-law Thomas Nyhan Sr. of Dayton, OH. Known as Nonie by her grandchildren and many others, and Super Nonie, by her great grandchildren, Stella lived a wonderful life in service to her family. She worked beside her husband Tony for many years at the family business, East Dayton Meat & Sausage, and supported local German societies at festivals and events. She was the first female president elected to the Eintracht Singing Society and also served as a trustee to the Greater Beneficial Union. What Nonie enjoyed most was the company of her family at holidays and vacations and her legacy will be remembered in the memories and dreams of her many survivors, including 5 grandchildren: Kathleen Nyhan Watson (Phil) of Lexington, NC; Thomas Jr. (Tracey) of St. Louis, MO; Judith Nyhan Simpson (Jeff) Portland, OR; Vincent Sr. (Jane) and Denis Nyhan of Dayton. Super Nonie also leaves eleven great grandchildren: Ensign Johnny Watson (USN) of Coronado, CA; Midshipman Stout Watson (USN) of Annapolis, MD; Taylor and Torrey Nyhan of St. Louis, MO and Seaman Thomas Nyhan III (USN) of Pensacola, FL; Cydney and Zoe Simpson of Portland, OR; Vincent Jr., Jack, Grace and Isabelle Nyhan of Dayton, OH and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 22, 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo, Kettering. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
