Sterling S. Gearhart

GEARHART, STERLING S., age 91 of Kettering passed away Monday, February 16, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Gearhart and a step-son, Gary Catron. Sterling is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Gearhart; children: Neil (Glenda) Gearhart and Beth Gearhart; grandchildren: Adam (Addie) Gearhart and Lauren Gearhart; great-grandson, Oliver Gearhart; sister: Evelyn Bates and Annetta Landry and step-daughter, Pamela Chandler. Sterling was a mason, optimist and a member of Church of the Cross. He was an Army Veteran where he served in WWII. Sterling retired from WPAFB. After retirement he enjoyed being a consultant for Softtech. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and skiing. Funeral Services will be Friday, February 20, 2015 at 1:30PM at Church of the Cross United Methodist, 3121 Wilmington Pike Kettering, OH 45429_ . In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Church of the Cross.
