Giallombardo, Steve A. , age 89 of Kettering, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 29, 2017, surrounded by his devoted family. He is survived by Maxine, his loving wife of 72 years. Family was everything to Steve and he leaves behind a legacy of nine children; Andy Fitzgerald and Patrick, Terry Dabbelt and Mike, Stephen Giallombardo, Dan Giallombardo and Nancy, Jim Giallombardo and Leslie, Gina Palmisano and Dave, Paula Eifert and Chris, Nick Giallombardo and Whitney, Lori Sharpe and Jim, and devoted daughter in-law, Diane Metz, 26 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. He also leaves behind one sister, Josie Lathrop of Orlando, Florida. He is greeted in heaven by grandsons: Joey Sharpe, Arnie Fitzgerald; parents, Andrew and Frances (Amari) Giallombardo; 3 brothers, Dominic, John & Michael, and 1 sister, Rosie Johnson. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II. Steve was an entrepreneur and started two successful businesses; Giallombardo Flooring and Geez Grill and Pub in Washington Township. Steve enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball, bowling, and golfing, following all sports teams, his grandchildren's teams, and "Sunday Spaghetti" family dinners. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and wonderful sense of humor! The family will receive friends Saturday April 1st from 9am-12noon at Southbrook Church, 9095 Washington Church Road. The Funeral Service will be at 12:00 noon. There will be a private family burial following the service.
