Steven Michael Henley, age 77, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Hospice of Dayton. Steve proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Steve enjoyed life and took advantage of all it had to offer. He was also a certified pilot, certified CCW instructor, certified real estate appraiser, radio host for University of Dayton Women’s basketball, stage actor, actor and producer on public television, and host of a public television talk show. Preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Anita Henley; brother, Kerry Henley; and son, Michael Steven Henley. Survived by his companion, Tammy Klan; aunt, Barbara Hummel; sister, Mary Henley Davis and brother in law, Gerry Davis; sister, Susan Henley; son, Kevin Daniel Henley and daughter in law, Rachel Henley; grandchildren Daniel, Kelly, Lauren, Shaelyn, Landen, and Gabriella; and his adored furry son, Tiny. Family will greet friends on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 3-5 pm at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering, Ohio with a funeral service beginning at 5:00 PM. Burial will be 9:30 AM Monday, July 19th at The Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third St., Dayton, Ohio 45428, where the U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard will present a final salute with Military Funeral Honors. In lieu of flowers, Steve asked that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to The Wounded Warrior Project.
