Sue S. Stein

Sue S. Stein (nee Sullivan) was born on September 5, 1938, and raised by Edward and Martha Sullivan in Fostoria, Ohio. She passed away on March 6, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio, at the age of 85. Sue, described as energetic and fun-loving, led a life filled with joy and love.
Sue attended St. Wendelin High School and later pursued her higher education at the College of Saint Mary of the Springs. She was a devout member of Saint Albert the Great Catholic Church, finding solace and community in her faith.
Outside of raising seven children, Sue had many hobbies, including horseback riding, golf, and bowling. She found true happiness in these hobbies and cherished the moments spent indulging in them with friends.
Sue was also an active volunteer, spending countless hours with Christ Child Society, St. Albert Catholic School, Therapeutic Riding Institute, and her children's many sports and activities.
A loving wife of 63 years to J. Leslie Stein, Sue is survived by her children: Susie Stein, Mike (Sue) Stein, Kathy Stein, Pat (Renee) Stein, Kelly Stein, Steve (Ami) Stein, Stacy (Kevin) Egan; grandchildren: Andrew, Becca, Emily, Natalie, Nate, Ryan, Reagan, Ellie, Kali, Kemper, Meghan; and brother Edward (Jane) Sullivan.
After an extended stay at St. Leonard, Sue passed away peacefully at Bethany Village, surrounded by family.
The funeral service to honor Sue's life will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Ohio Hospice, Alzheimer's Association, or the Therapeutic Riding Institute in memory of Sue.
There will be a visitation on Friday March 15th from 9:30-10:30 AM followed immediately by a Funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering OH 45429. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Dayton, Ohio. May her soul rest in peace.
