Theresa M. Trzaska

TRZASKA, Theresa M. Age 78 of Washington Township died Saturday, September 26, 2015 following a lengthy illness. Terry was born September 30, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI to Edmund & Anna (Niedzwiecki) Karpinski. In addition to her parents, Terry was preceded in death by her son Steven in February, 2015, her brother Edmund (Vivian) Karpinski and sister Mary Ann (Herman) Janke. Terry is survived by her husband of 56 years, Theodore, and children Thomas (Mary Elizabeth) of Muskegon, MI, Catherine of Oakwood, OH, Mary (Austin) Welsh of Overland Park, KS, Ann (Michael) Moell of Centerville, OH, Anthony (Lois) of Carmel, IN and Michael of Kettering, OH, as well as her daughter-in-law Bonita of Minster, OH, 23 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Terry is also survived by her brothers Louis (Jean) Karpinski, John (Dolores) Karpinski, sister Ann (Patrick) Kulas, sister-in-law Adeline Trzaska, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Terry was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, as well as a tireless advocate for her son Michael and others with developmental disabilities. She dedicated her time and talents to a number of organizations supporting the developmentally disabled for over 40 years. Terry & Ted were founding members of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Kettering, where they have been members since 1962.
Friends may call at the Westbrock Funeral Home, Bigger Road location from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1st, and 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 2nd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 2nd at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Kettering, OH. Burial at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
