Thomas Ewing

EWING, THOMAS "TOM" G., age 81, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Heartland of Centerville. Tom was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Ewing, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Ewing, children: Mary T. Allen, Michael H. Ewing, Molly Anderson, Joseph E. Ewing, Jane Patten, George H. Ewing, Robert E. Ewing and John "Jack" F. Ewing, 4 step-sons, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters: Dorothy Sherman and Patricia Kuntz and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was a graduate from Chaminade High School class of 1946 and a graduate of University of Dayton and The Dayton Art Institute. Tom will be best remembered for promoting and nurturing the sport of sailboat racing at Cowan Lake and Indian Lake in Western Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 18th at Incarnation Church, 7415 Far Hills Ave, Centerville, OH 45459. The family would like to invite everyone to a celebration of Tom's life after Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chaminade High School class of 1946 Scholarship Fund, 505 S. Ludlow Street, Dayton, OH 45402.
