JANEK, Thomas David age 55, of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2013. Tom graduated from Centerville High School in 1976 and the University of Cincinnati, College of Engineering, in 1981 and 1984. He was the owner of PFI Precision Machining. Tom was an Eagle Scout (as are all three of his sons), Scout Leader and Scout Unit Commissioner. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Colleen, his three sons: Timothy, Kevin, and Daniel. He is also survived by his mother Winifred Janek, brothers Albert Jr (Juliane and the late Jan) and Gregory (Kim), and sister Jean Janek-Tincher along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Janek Sr. Tom will be remembered for his love and commitment to his family, his sense of adventure, his faith, his service, and his sense of humor. Visitation at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering, Ohio, on Wednesday, October 16 from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave, Kettering, Ohio, on Thursday October 17th at noon with internment following at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America
