RYAN, Thomas B. “Barry”, age 74 of Kettering passed away at Hospice of Dayton on September 11, 2018. He was born June 26, 1944 in Dayton to his late father Thomas and his late mother Mary (Wilcock). He is survived by his brother Kevin and sister-in-law Deb (Brown) of Olympia, Washington and his cousins Jim Charters (Mary) of Washington Township, Ohio and Rev. Tom Charters of Erwin, Tennessee. Tom graduated from Chaminade High School in 1963 and the University of Dayton in 1970. He worked at the university for many years. He coordinated cash transactions for the for the seventeen revenue and non-revenue teams for both travel and home contests. The entire coaching staff appreciated his assistance in making sure they were compliant to NCAA rules and regulations. Friends and family may visit from 11 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, September 18 at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave., Dayton. There will be a Memorial service at 1:30 pm on Tuesday at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Tom Charters officiating. He will then be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to United Cerebral Palsy, 2300 Drex Ave., Norwood, Ohio 45212.
